Our Commitment to Local Authorities

Care Visions Fostering Scotland is included in the Scotland Excel Framework, and contracts with individual Local Authorities. We believe in having an effective quality management system and continually update our methods, policies and procedures so that we maintain high standards.

These standards are in line with therapeutic research, new developments, legislation and practice. We work closely with our network of Foster Carers and Local Authorities to tailor services that meet placement requirements, thereby achieving the best possible outcome for children and young people. Our service is:

  • Inclusive: Provision of care for a range of needs and encourage participation of children in decisions which affect them.
  • Good quality: In terms of standards, staff and carer expertise and the overall fostering experience for children and young people.
  • Therapeutic: Making use of Therapeutic Crisis Intervention for Families (TCIF) for therapeutic care and other models and approaches.
  • Outcome-focused: Linking with Getting It Right For Every Child and SHANARRI to ensure children are Safe, Healthy, Achieving, Nurtured, Active, Respected, Responsible and Included.
