Care Visions Fostering Scotland is an independent agency dedicated to fostering who have an established group of foster families in your area. That’s great news because we believe that support from others in your community and localised services are key to becoming a successful foster carer.

Our children and young people range in age from 0-18. Sometimes our children and young people need to live with a foster family for a few weeks duration but sometimes they need longer term support if they are unable to return home. Children are referred to us from your local authority, and we work in partnership to ensure the very best matching of foster carers for the young people in our care.

Our team of professionals are experts in all things fostering ; Our experienced social workers and therapeutic family workers, will be with you on every step of your fostering journey.

We know that families come in all shapes and sizes. No formal qualifications are required to become a foster carer, but we’ll give you the tools and training to build on your own life experience to provide the very best care for our young people.

Within Clackmannanshire there is a need for foster families who can look after children of primary school age and above, and those who can also care for brothers and sisters to ensure they can stay together. Our Foster Carers tell us that fostering is one of the most rewarding and fulfilling things they have ever done in their lives.

Who can foster in Clackmannanshire?

Applications are welcomed, regardless of age, gender, marital status, religious persuasion, sexual identity or nationality.  We need caring people, with the life experience, time and stability, to offer a child in need a loving family home.

Fostering for the short or long term

We are aware that with the increasing cost of living and varying circumstances post Covid that there is more to consider when thinking about fostering a child than ever before. Short term fostering can be an avenue to go down to see if fostering is for you and can often be a doorway into longer term fostering. If you decide that short term fostering is what you are most comfortable with then it is fine to keep doing this.

We can help to faciliate your goal if you can communicate with us regularly each week. We can use phone, Zoom, Whatsapp, Facetime, whatever communication style suits you. We can work around you to help you reach your goal at whatever speed you require.
